Guests share startup knowledge with students

Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hau - Deputy Director of Danang City Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shared with Da Nang students about sustainable agriculture, the current situation of Vietnam's agriculture, the shift Agricultural structure as well as scientific and technological advancements that have been changing the Vietnam's agriculture. With the orientation of applying and combining scientific and technological advancements  in field of agriculture with innovation management and marketing diversification that will be the core to develop sustainable agriculture.

Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hau expected that with the advantage of the fastest access to science and technology, students and their startup ideas will bring fresh winds to the Startup Runway 2023 Contest in particular, economic and social development in general.

The representative of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Da Nang city also affirmed that they will support projects which bring practical effects and support to connect with the business community to nurture and scale up the start-up business ideas after the competition.

The knowledge about entrepreneurship in the field of agriculture shared by Dr. Vu Thi Bich Hau is also a premise for Da Nang students to sketch out their ideas for participating in the Startup Runway 2023 Contest.

Startup Runway is a traditional, annual contest organized by UD-DUE aimed at students of universities and colleges in Da Nang city and across the country who have an interest in startups industry, innovation and creativity.

Held for the first time in 2016, up to now, the contest has affirmed its scale and effectiveness as it not only finds practical projects for the community and society, but also spreads and fosters the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity among students.

Startup Runway 2023 is structured as a contest between project teams that lasts from January 2023 and is expected to end in July 2023 with five rounds including Idea Preliminary Round, Idea Deployment Round, Idea Exhibition Round, Semi-Finals and Finals.

With the theme "Sustainable Agriculture-From tradition to innovation", the projects participating in Startup Runway 2023 can have topics such as:

- Project teams on tangible products;

- Project teams related to new production models (or improvement, applying science and technology) to help improve production efficiency in agriculture;

- Project teams on creation and deployment of applications to improve delivery efficiency;

- Project teams with other related content.
