The University of Danang (UD) warmly received the delegation of German Consulate General HCMC and German Academic Exchange Service - DAAD

On April 14, Assoc. Prof. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD presided over the meeting with Dr. Josefine Wallet-German Consul General HCMC and Mr. Stefan Haze Bergen – Head of DAAD Hanoi.

Attending the reception were Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Nhung - Scholarship Manager of DAAD Office in Hanoi and leader representatives of UD's Departments (International Cooperation; Science, Technology and Environment; Educational Quality Assurance and School of International Education).

At the meeting, Assoc. HE. German Consul General acknowledged and highly appreciated UD's participation in actively promoting cooperation of Eu-Asia University, including German universities and institutes. The Consulate General is ready to support and connect UD to expand its relationship to prestigious universities and enterprises of Germany and Europe.
The attendees at the meeting gained valuable information on upcoming call for joint research projects of MOST and the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on the topic of “Sustainable Cities and Urban Regions – Risk Management at Extreme Natural Hazards in Vietnam and Germany”

In an atmosphere of trust and understanding, the two sides acknowledged the proposals and agreed directions of cooperation including the German language training for UD's staff and students; supporting to connect UD to foreign experts and enterprises; student exchange and consultation; co-organizing online/F2F workshop; supporting in research/capacity building projects by DAAD fund.
