On June 21, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony took place at the University of Danang (UD) on June between UD and Tilling Timber Proprietary Limited, Australia.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD; Leaders of Tilling Timber Proprietary Limited, Australia: Mr. Glenn William Tilling – Chairman; Mr. Adrian Fraser Robertson - CEO; Mr. Tristan Damian Robinson – General Manager Tilling Timber Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lanh - Human Resources Manager of Tilling Timber Representative Office in Da Nang city.

Also attending were representatives of leaders of UD’s relevant Departments (International Cooperation, Student Affairs); Representatives of leaders of the Science and International Cooperation Departments from UD’s member universities, such as The University of Danang – University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT),  The University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE).

Welcoming the leaders of Tilling Timber Proprietary Limited, Australia, to visit and sign MOU with UD, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD shared that the two sides discussed and explored the needs and opportunities for cooperation, in which Tilling Timber Proprietary Limited has strengths in the field of construction and design, as well as having needs of high-quality human resources resource that UD's member universities have tradition, potential and experience in training and providing.

The signing of the MOU by the two sides will open a new phase, promoting universtiy-business cooperation, which is currently one of the focuses of UD, contributing to mutual benefits, in which students will have more opportunities to receive internships and recruitment at businesses; officials and lecturers of relevant faculties and training sectors can learn, research and exchange experiences and management models from the reality of partner enterprise.

Speaking to UD leaders, Mr. Glenn William Tilling - Chairman of Tilling Timber Proprietary Limited, Australia, expressed his joy and honor to visit and sign an MOU with UD. Representatives of Tilling Timber highly appreciated the significance of cooperation between the two sides, thereby hoping to strengthen connections with UD’s member universities and affiliated units  to assist student internships, job opportunities and scholarships; connecting cooperation in applied research and transfer in fields in which UD has strengths as well as businesses have needs.

Tilling Timber Proprietary Limited, Australia, is an enterprise headquartered in Victoria State and its factories manufacturing, supplying materials and wooden structures in the construction sector in Australian states, such as: New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia.

With the advantage of having representative offices in Ho Chi Minh city and Da Nang city, the business side is ready to accompany activities to support training and scientific research, contributing to the development of human resources in order to integrate into the domestic and international labor market.
