The University of Danang signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Shouwakai Social Health Group and SG Crossing Company Limited, Japan

On November 15, 2023, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) and Dr. Ota Taisei - General Director of Shouwakai Social Health Group and Mr. Kurato Suganuma - Director of SG Crossing Company Limited, Japan, co-chaired the meeting and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the three parties.

Also attending were representatives of the UD - School of Medicine and Pharmacy, UD - Medical Center and UD - Department of International Cooperation.

Speaking to partners, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of UD introduced the overview and highlights of UD as a National Key Regional University including 06 member universities and affiliated units. In particular, UD - School of Medicine and Pharmacy received attention from UD leaders, focusing on investing and promoting cooperation with prestigious hospitals and businesses at home and abroad to develop into a University of Medicine and Pharmacy under UD.

Expressing joy and appreciating the significance of the MOU signing, Vice President of UD Le Quang Son wished and believed that the cooperation mark between the parties will contribute to opening up opportunities to promote cooperation, bringing values that meet common needs and interests.

Talking with UD leaders, Dr. Ota Taisei - General Director of Shouwakai Social Health Group, Japan, expressed his joy and honor to cooperate with UD in general, and UD - School of Medicine and Pharmacy in particular to developf high quality human resources, thereby they can make a positive contribution to the Health Sciences of Da Nang City, especially in the field of rehabilitation.

According to Mr. Kurato Suganuma - Director of SG Crossing Company Limited, the business will connect and consult to effectively implement the MOU, contribute to promoting the potential and strengths of the parties in implementing the contents of the cooperation agreement, bringing good results not only to the development of education and healthcare but also contributing positively to the community.

According to the signed MOU, UD and Shouwakai Social Health Group, Japan, will promote cooperation with key contents such as: Building training programs to improve knowledge and skills in specialized fields on rehabilitation for students of the UD - School of Medicine and Pharmacy. This was the premise for UD and Shouwakai Social Health Group to continue to build and develop in-depth training and research programs in medical professions; create more opportunities for UD lecturers, students and staff and experts of Shouwakai Social Health Group to exchange and learn professional knowledge and skills...

Dr. Le Viet Nho - Dean of UD - School of Medicine and Pharmacy said that based on the signed MOU/MOA, the School will coordinate with partners to organize the training course "Health care for people in need of rehabilitation" for 39 students (the 3rd year) majoring in Nursing with the participation in teaching/training of experts from Shouwakai Social Health Group and Dr. Yusuke Murakami - Physical Therapist, Stroke Center, Rehabilitation Department, Ota Memorial Hospital (The course will be taught in English/ Japanese with Vietnamese interpretation).
