On the evening of November 30, at F Hall of The University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT), The University of Danang (UD) solemnly organized the Program “Honoring Valedictorians and promoting UD students in 2023”. This is a UD's traditional program held annually, solemnly and meaningfully, leaving memorable impressions on each new student.

Attending the program were comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang city; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - City Party Committee member, Party Committee Secretary, President of UD; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Thanh Bac – Vice President of UD; Representatives of leaders of departments, branches and the Da Nang City Study Promotion Association; sponsors and businesses; Central and local press agencies.

The representative leader of UD said that in the past year, UD has achieved many achievements, outstanding and comprehensive marks in all working aspects such as: Continuing to have a successful enrollment season (recruiting enough target of more than 14,600 new students enrolled, reaching a rate of more than 97%); many majors have high admission scores, among the top in the country; having 152 university training programs, 45 master's training programs and 29 doctoral training programs;

There are 4 out of 6 UD’s member universities which have been accredited and met quality standards according to domestic standards (cycle 2); 1 UD’s member university has met quality standards according to domestic standards (cycle 1), ranked 4 stars by the UPM Regional University Comparison System;

There are 27 more accredited training programs, meeting domestic and international quality standards, belonging to the Top Universities with many accredited training programs, meeting domestic and foreign standards with 84 training programs.

UD has organized 16 international scientific conferences/ workshops; published more than 500 articles in prestigious international journals (WoS/Scopus); 18 lecturers qualified as Associate Professors in 2023.

UD has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with two Vietnam National Universities in Hanoi and in Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology; cooperated and participated in the European University Alliance (Ulysseus), etc.

UD students have achieved many achievements and outstanding results, contributing to affirming the prestige and leading academic reputation of UD as well as its members in the country's higher education system:

Champion of ICPC Vietnam Programming Contest-2023; 02 First Prizes, 07 Second Prizes and 06 Third Prizes of the National Scientific Students Award for the 2022-2023 academic year; First Prize of the Contest for Students with Startup Ideas of the Ministry of Education and Training, etc.

Activities to support and accompany students to improve their progress are always paid attention and focused by UD as well as its member universities and affiliated training units. In the 2022-2023 academic year, UD has coordinated with partners, businesses and sponsors to award more than 09 billion VND in scholarships (out of the budget sources) to students.

This is a convincing affirmation of the prestige, academic reputation and training quality of UD as well as its member universities and affiliated training units.

The program of Honoring Valedictorians and promoting UD students in 2023 demonstrated the profound meaning of humanistic education, attached importance to fostering and honoring talents; We hope and believe that today's Valedictorians will continue to glorify the rich tradition of UD. The year 2024 will be a milestone commemorating the 30^th anniversary of the construction and development of UD (1994-2024), continuing and inheriting the tradition and 50 years of training experience from member univerties, Vice President of UD Le Thanh Bac shared.

This is the amount of money voluntarily donated by the Bank's officials and employees according to the campaign of the Trade Union unit's grassroots to give to UD students according to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Trade Unions of both sides to coordinate in implementing the Program "Agribank Nam Da Nang - Giving wings to dreams".

The scholarships that UD students/ new students received are truly a source of encouragement, confidence and energy for students/ new students to steadily step forward on the learning and training journey ahead.

This was a great honor and a profound mark that each of student would be always aware of continuing to strive to achieve the highest results in studying, training and scientific research to be worthy of the trust loved by family, university and superiors, worthy of being a student of UD.
