The University of Danang cooperated with Keidanren & JCCI to award scholarships to students

On March 10, 2022, the University of Danang (UD) cooperated with the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (JCCI) to organize the Keidanren & JCCI Scholarship Award Online Ceremony for 20 outstanding students (300 USD/person) from member universities, affiliated units.

Attending the scholarship award ceremony were Mr. Morita Shimpei - Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Economic Commission, Member of JCCI, General Director of Sumitomo Corporation Vietnam; Mr. Tatsuya Toyama – Member of JCCI, General Director of Sumitomo Mitsui Bank Ha Noi branch; Mr. Nakagawa Wataru - Chairman of JCCI in Da Nang, Managing Director of Murata Manufacturing Vietnam.
On the UD’s side, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the UD; leader representatives of Department of International Cooperation, Department of Student Affairs, Japan Center and member universities/affiliated units.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the UD thanked the leaders of Keidanren & JCCI for their attention and valuable support as well as the continuous scholarship conferment to the UD’s students over the years.

Vice President Le Quang Son acknowledged and appreciated the significance and value of the Keidanren & JCCI scholarships for the UD’s students, considering it an encouragement and support for students to constantly overcome difficulties, improve in learning and create positive contributions to the community.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son shared the outstanding information about the development strategies of the UD towards becoming one of three Vietnam’s leading centers in the fields of human resource training, research, application and transfer of knowledge.
Therefore, the UD hopes and believes that the leaders of Keidanren & JCCI will continue to pay attention, support and connect to develop the academia - industry cooperation, thereby creating more opportunities for the UD’s students to practice, experience and develop their careers, contribute to improving the quality of training and scientific research in accordance with the UD's development goals and strategies.

For his part, Mr. Morita Shimpei highlighted the purposes and missions of Keidanren & JCCI in which human resource is the condition and premise to promote cooperation and sustainable growth, thereby contributing to strengthening the extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan.
Over the past 20 years, Keidanren & JCCI have awarded scholarships to more than 1,800 Vietnamese students. Through this activity, Keidanren & JCCI aim to support the young generations of Vietnam on the journey of learning. Moreover, these students will later be the "bridge" to contribute to the development of the partnership between the two countries in the future.

Mr. Tatsuya Toyama said that the Japanese partners were pleased to see that the Keidanren & JCCI scholarship recipients owned excellent learning and training results, as well as developed their capacity and expertise after graduation. At the same time, Mr. Tatsuya Toyama expressed his hope and belief that the UD’s 20 students received this year's scholarship will make great efforts to study and practice, and make valuable contributions to the future social development.
On behalf of scholarship recipients, student Dang Thi Tinh (Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture, University of Foreign Languages Studies - UD) expressed her honor and gratitude to Japanese agencies, organizations and businesses that have always paid attention and sponsored valuable scholarships for students.
