The University of Danang attracts many international students

With the strategy of building the University of Danang (UD) to become an ideal research and education center for international students, the UD’s member universities/affiliated units always focus on promoting cooperation and student exchange. This attracts more and more international students to study and research in Danang.

Mr. Kim Tae Kyu (South Korean) has worked and studied in many places in Vietnam. After working at Dung Quat Industrial Park (Quang Ngai province), he decided to choose University of Economics – UD to do earn a PhD program.

According to Mr. Kim, he had the ability to do a PhD in a more well-known institutions, but he chose University of Economics – UD for its reputation and good quality. In addition, the lecturers supervised and supported him very enthusiastically during the process of researching the topic.

Similarly, Mr. Kiengcay Umvong (Lao) studied for undergraduate and master’s degrees at University of Science and Education – UD. After returning to work at the Department of Education and Sports of Attapeu province (Laos), Mr. Umvong decided to return to University of Science and Education – UD to do a PhD degree.

Mr. Umvong assessed that learning environment and research conditions at University of Science and Education – UD are very good.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, the UD trains more than 700 foreign students at its member universities, affiliated units. Among them, the majority of international students come from Asia, some students come from the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, USA, Russia, Switzerland, Hungary, Sweden, Germany,...

The UD’s Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son said that training international students is one of the strategic contents of the university. Attracting international students to study and research not only brings value to learners, connects and exchanges academic development, but also builds prestiges and positively contributes to cohesive relationship, sustainable cooperation with international partners of the UD.
