The University of Danang and THACO Group enhance cooperation in human resources training and innovation research

Recently, at Truong Hai – Chu Lai Industrial Park, the University of Danang (UD) cooperated with Truong Hai Automotive Group (THACO) to successfully organize a seminar on promoting cooperation in human resources training and innovation research as well as bilateral cooperation directions in the time to come.
The seminar drew the participation of Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga – former Deputy Minister of Education and Training, former President of the UD, Editor-in-chief of the UD Journal of Science and Technology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu – Vice Rector of University of Science and Technology – UD; leader representatives from the UD’s functional and academic departments, as well as leader representatives, experts and engineers of THACO Group.

Overview of the seminar.
At the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Mai of THACO Group shared the need for developing Vietnam’s automobile market in the context of the country’s deeper and wider integration into new-generation free trade agreements.
Prof. Dr. Bui Van Ga, the leading expert in engine fields of the UD, has made in-depth analyses and opinions, showing the strategic vision in developing automobile technology in Vietnam and the world. Accordingly, the diesel or internal combustion engine cars will be used less in the society. Instead, clean and less environment-affected fuels will be preferred.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu said that University of Science and Technology – UD has been constantly innovating to improve the quality of training and scientific research, coordinating with businesses to effectively implement advanced teaching – learning methods.

Researchers and experts exchanged their view at the seminar.
At the event, the Faculty of Transport Engineering – University of Science and Technology – UD, presented a number of research results on the application of new materials in automobile manufacturing, according to which the technology application of composite panels has shown some advantages in bus production.
In the coming time, the UD and THACO agreed to continue to promote the cooperation in human resources training; assign THACO’s experts to accompany the UD to improve the training programs, co-supervise students during their internships or projects; give priority to the UD’s graduates in THACO’s recruitment; offer postgraduate training for THACO’s technical staff.
