On April 05^th, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son-Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) welcomed and worked with H.E. Mizonova Maria Georgievna - the Consul General of Russian Federation in Da Nang city. Attending the meeting were also an officer of the Consulate General of Russian Federation in Da Nang city, senior representative of UD’s functional departments (Academic Affairs, International Cooperation, Student Affairs), leaders of Science and International Cooperation Office and Faculty of Russian language of UD-University of Foreign Language Studies.

At the meeting, Vice President Le Quang Son warmly welcomed and highly appreciated the visit of the delegation, considering this  a great opportunity for the two sides to discuss and exchange information for the upcoming cooperation in the fields of education, science and culture.

Vice President Le Quang Son briefly introduced the overview and highlights of UD in the cooperation development process with the Russian partners in particular and the other foreign ones in general.

Sharing with the leaders of UD, Ms. Mizonova Maria Georgievna expressed her pleasure when visiting UD, a prestigious center of training and scientific research in Vietnam as well as highly appreciated UD’s role and dynamic international cooperation activities, especially with Russian universities and enterprises.

At the meeting, the Russian Consul General Mizonova Maria Georgievna shared and proposed several cooperation orientations with the participation of UD as well as its member universities and affiliated units such as: opening the Russian interpreters training course for special purposes, especially in the fields of economics, tourism...; Organizing a Russian history competition for a large number of UD’s students; Establishing and developing the cooperation relationship with Yaroslavl State Medical University, Russia…

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son highly acknowledged the goodwill and suggestions of Ms. General Mizonova Maria and assigned relevant departments to continue coordinating and implementing these mentioned contents. UD would discuss and deploy the Russian interpreters training course in the fields of not only economic and tourism, but also engineering. Finally, Vice President Le Quang Son expressed his honor to welcomes and work with delegations of Yaroslavl State Medical University in the upcoming time.
