On December 5, 2025, the University of Danang (UD) organized the International Student Get-together Program for the academic year 2025–2026 with the theme "Inspiring Global Minds, Shaping Sustainable Futures."

Delivering a speech at the Program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac - Vice President of UD stated that this is a signature, annual event organized to commend outstanding international students.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac emphasized that the event is also an opportunity to strengthen exchange, connection, and cultural understanding, and to foster friendship among international students studying at UD. This, in turn, helps spread the image of UD as a friendly "destination" for study, research, and creativity within the livable and must-visit city of Da Nang.

Through the Program, international students can exchange ideas, express their aspirations, and share their thoughts so that lecturers and staff responsible for international cooperation and student affairs can share, support, and accompany the international students, ensuring they feel secure in their studies and daily lives.

Vice President of UD Le Thanh Bac highly appreciated and thanked the international students for choosing UD as their common home on their journey to study and acquire knowledge.

The UD leadership representative expressed the hope that every international student would not only contribute to the cultural diversity and inspire integration for UD students, but also act as "cultural ambassadors," helping to build a humane and international academic environment.

On this occasion, the UD leadership representative conveyed the best wishes for the New Year to the international lecturers, experts, volunteers, and students, as well as to all distinguished delegates, lecturers, and staff members. He expressed hope that the Program would leave lasting memories, making the time spent studying at UD a beautiful recollection of an energetic, dream-filled, and ambitious student life.

UD is committed to always accompanying and supporting international students in their studies, research, and integration, enabling them to continuously grow and later use their knowledge and understanding to develop their future careers.

According to MSc. Ho Long Ngoc - Deputy Head of the UD Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation, in the academic year 2024-2025, UD continued to affirm its prestige and academic reputation, attracting over 1,250 international students from 38 countries and territories worldwide (a 5.8% increase compared to the 2023–2024 academic year). A highlight is the addition of 13 new countries with international students coming to UD for the first time, including Canada, Venezuela, Finland, Spain, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Bulgaria, New Zealand, Singapore, and Indonesia.

The management and training of international students at UD are always a priority. Member universities and affiliated training units regularly organize activities to support and accompany international students.

There is a growing number of English-taught training programs, as well as training and professional development programs for Vietnamese language proficiency for international students. Furthermore, through various MOU/MOA cooperation agreements, UD is promoting the exchange of international students (both incoming and outgoing) and securing additional scholarship sources, especially for Lao students.

During the program, international students, along with lecturers and international experts, shared and exchanged ideas during the seminar, delivering the message: “Together we learn, connect, and create sustainable futures at the UD.”

The UD leadership commended and presented gifts to international students who achieved excellent academic and training results and actively contributed to the international training activities of UD and its member units.

Many artistic performances and cultural games like "Global Bridge" left positive impressions and memories for the international students about the dynamic learning and living environment, inspiring them to integrate and achieve comprehensive development.
