On the morning of January 4, 2025, the Student Association of The University of Danang (UD) organized the 75^th Anniversary Program of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students and the Vietnamese Student Association (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2025); commended "5 Good Students", awarded the "White Bird Award" and gave train and bus tickets to students in difficult circumstances to return home to celebrate Tet At Ty 2025.

Attending the Program were Dr. Phan Minh Duc - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council of UD; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac - Vice President of UD; Comrade Nguyen Duy Thanh - Head of the Movement Committee of Da Nang City Youth Union.

Also attending were the heads of functional departments (Propaganda, Inspection Organization, School Youth) of the City Youth Union; representatives of the leaders of UD’s member universities, affiliated training units; representatives of the leaders of the Office of Administrative Affairs, functional departments/centers of UD; the Standing Committee of the Youth Union, the Secretariat of the Student Association of UD; former leaders of the Student Association of UD through the periods; representatives of sponsoring units, accompanying the staff, members and exemplary students.

At the Commemorative Program, Dr. Do Le Hung Toan – Chairman of UD’s Student Association gave a speech reviewing the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese Student Movement and the Vietnamese Student Association over 75 years of establishment, dedication and growth, always closely associated with the history of the struggle for national unification and the construction and protection of the homeland; leaving an impression with many exemplary students.

According to the representative of the Student Association of UD, the program was organized to celebrate the 75^th anniversary of the traditional day of students and the Vietnamese Student Association, thereby adding motivation for the Student Association at all levels to continue to improve the quality of the "5 Good Students" movement, the typical "January Stars" become bright spots of the Youth Union and Association movement.

The report of UD’s Student Association highlighted the achievements in the 2023-2024 academic year, created positive changes in both the depth and spread of the movement. Many examples of "January Stars", "5 Good Students" and typical, excellent models in studying and training have shone, achieving many achievements in competitions, academic playgrounds, innovation, and startups at regional, national, and international levels.

Many programs and activities were organized on a large scale, with high quality and impressiveness such as: Student Festival, UD’s Student Ambassador Competition, Student Technology Startup Competition... In 2024, UD had 01 collective achieving "5 Good Student Team" at the Central level; 16 of "5 Good Students" at the Central level, including 02 of "Outstanding 5-Good Students" at the Central level. The highlight was that the UD’s Student Association had had 03 outstanding students honored to receive the "January Star" Award from the Central Vietnamese Student Association; 02 collectives achieving "5 Good Student Team" and 70 of "5 Good Students" at the city level; 03 typical models were awarded the "9/1 Award" at the City level...

At the Program, the Student Association of UD honored and awarded 03 of "5  Good Students Team" at UD level to receive Certificates with bonuses (1 million VND/group): Class 47K09, Faculty of Political Theory, UD - University of Economics; Class 48K01.1-E, Faculty of International Business, UD - University of Economics; Class 22DL1, Faculty of Mechanics, UD- University of Technology and Education; 30 of "Outstanding 5 Good Students" at UD level received Certificates with bonuses (500 thousand VND/student) out of a total of 228 of "5 Good Students" at UD level.

The category “Nurturing Bird” (for collectives and individuals with models, solutions and initiatives that had been effectively applied in the work of the Association and student movements at all levels) belonged to: DUE 2024 Multicultural Festival Model (Club C - RES, UD - University of Economics); UED model of innovation and creativity in considering the title of “5 Good Students” (Group of students from UD - University of Science and Education).

The category “Flame-Blowing Bird” (for individuals with outstanding achievements for many consecutive years in the Association's work and UD’s student movement) was awarded to 05 individuals who are typical Association officials of UD’s member universities.
