On the afternoon of August 12, 2026, the SOHO Project Steering Committee, together with the Professional Team and Support Team, held its 4th meeting at the University of Danang. The meeting focused on two key agendas: implementing events at the Enhanced Knowledge & Competence Centre (HUB – Knowledge and Competence Center) located at the University of Danang, and continuing to accelerate the integration of SOHO project courses into the teaching programs of the Faculty of Tourism – University of Economics (UD-DUE) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering – University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT).

At the meeting, members reviewed the progress of Work Package 5: Development of Enhanced Knowledge and Competence Centres. Participants agreed to continue organizing a series of events at the Center in the coming months, including thematic seminars, experience-sharing sessions with international experts, and networking activities with local tourism enterprises and associations. In particular, a seminar scheduled for the afternoon of Monday, September 7, 2026, will be integrated with the working visit of Professor Vladimir, Coordinator of the SOHO project.

Regarding course integration, the Professional Team finalized a concrete roadmap for the three SOHO project modules:

- Smart City Transportation Solutions for Tourism (D3.1) – Smart Transportation

- Digital Technologies in Residential and Tertiary Buildings (D3.2) – Smart Buildings

- Renewable Energy Sources and Systems (D3.3) – Renewable Energy

These courses will be flexibly integrated into the existing curricula of the Faculty of Tourism (UD_-UE) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (UD-DUT). Concurrently, the Professional Team will continue mobilizing lecturers and students to participate in learning on the project’s Moodle platform, ensuring the required number of students.

The meeting took place in a serious, responsible, and decisive working atmosphere. Members unanimously agreed to accelerate implementation progress to ensure that SOHO project deliverables are executed effectively, on schedule, and create tangible impacts on smart and sustainable tourism education at the University of Danang./.
