01/02/2026
On January 30, 2026, the "Tet in Me 2026" program was held at the University of Foreign Language Studies - The University of Da Nang (UFLS-UD). The event attracted a large number of international students from Laos, China, Russia, South Korea, France, and other nations, who joined local students from various faculties to participate in this academic and cultural exchange experience.

The program was attended by representatives of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Da Nang; leaders of relevant departments from UD (Science and International Cooperation; Student Affairs, Cooperate Relations and Communication Department); as well as the Board of Rectors, department heads, faculties, lecturers, and a large number of local and international students.

According to Dr. Nguyen Huu Binh, Vice Rector of UD-UFLS, the University always focuses on fostering an international integration environment, providing opportunities for both local and international students to engage in academic exchange and language-cultural experiences.
Sharing the excitement of welcoming the Vietnamese traditional Lunar New Year with students, the University leaders extended their warmest New Year wishes. They expressed their hope that through this program, international students would gain hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture.

Lunar New Year (Tet) is one of the most significant traditional cultural festivals of the Vietnamese people, representing sacred moments of reunion and community bonding. It is an occasion for everyone to share their aspirations for a prosperous new year while exchanging the unique customs of different regions and nations. Together, these elements create a vibrant, joyful, and warm cultural tapestry of Spring.
During the program, the University leaders presented meaningful Tet gifts to Vietnamese students facing difficult circumstances and those remaining on campus for the holiday. Special recognition was also given to the international student teams currently studying and living at the University. These gestures aim to nurture a spirit of solidarity, celebrate cultural diversity, and promote international integration.

The cultural exchange activities, knowledge contests, traditional cuisine experiences, folk games, and impressive musical performances left an unforgettable impression of "Tet in Me 2026." These activities have strengthened the bond between international and local students and the University, further establishing it as a top destination for international students.
According to Phonesoulinthon Souksavanh, an international student from Laos, this journey is not only about acquiring knowledge but also a valuable opportunity provided by UD-UFLS and the lecturers to explore the cultural beauty of Vietnam. With such bonding activities, we feel warm and confident, as if we are welcoming the New Year in our own homeland, Phonesoulinthon shared.
