Students of the University of Danang received scholarships from the Japan Business Federation and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam

On March 17, 2023, the University of Danang (UD) in collaboration with the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (JCCI) organized the Keidanren and JCCI scholarship award ceremony for 20 UD students (7 million VND/person).

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Kinoshita Tadahiro - Representative of Keidanren's Economic Committee, member of JCCI Committee for Social Contribution and Human Resource Development, Director of the Sojitz Vietnam Company Limited; Mr. Masuyama Takeshi- Representative of JCCI, Chairman of JCCI Committee for Social Contribution and Human Resource Development, Managing Director, Regional Head of Vietnam MUFJ Bank; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son – Vice President of the UD.
Also attending were Mr. Nakagawa Wataru, Chairman of JCCI in Da Nang, Managing Director of Murata Manufacturing Vietnam; representatives of relevant departments (International Cooperation, Student Affairs) and member universities whose students received scholarships and the Japan Center.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - the UD Vice President thanked the leaders of Keidanren and JCCI for their attention and scholarship award to UD students for over the past 20 years, and expressed to continue to receive the support and companionship of Japanese agencies, organizations and enterprises.
The UD Vice President Le Quang Son hoped that Japanese enterprises will continue to pay attention and create opportunities for the UD students to practice, experience and work in a professional environment.

Students received certificates and financial assistance.
Congratulating the scholarship recipients, Mr. Kinoshita Tadahiro – Representative of Keidanren said that Vietnam is currently an important strategic partner, attracting more than 2,000 Japanese enterprises operating and investing in many fields, accordingly, developing high-quality human resources is an urgent need that universities, including the UD, play an important role.
The scholarship’s purpose is to motivate UD students, thereby contributing to tightening the strategic partnership and friendship between the two countries, towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Japan-Vietnam diplomatic relations and 50 years of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation (1973-2023).
Representatives of Keidanren and JCCI hope that students will use the scholarship to support their studies and life, have meaningful time in the university; pay more attention to Japan's country, culture, people and enterprises; towards a better future.
The representative of the scholarship recipient expressed her honor and gratitude to the leaders of Keidanren and JCCI for always caring and sponsoring scholarships for UD students. “This is a practical and valuable encouragement to have more financial resources to cover tuition fees and plan to take the upcoming Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)”, expressed Ms. Tran Thi Hong Tham- student of University of Foreign Languages Studies - UD.
