On November 7, 2024, the University of Danang (UD) held an International Conference on "Sustainable University Development: Opportunities and Challenges" Organized which is a part of the events celebrating UD's 30th anniversary of establishment and development (1994-2024).

On September 30, 2024, the Government issued Resolution No. 169/NQ-CP, which approved the Action Program implementing Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW dated May 13, 2024, by the Politburo on continuing to execute Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo on building and developing the city of Danang by 2030 with a vision to 2045. The Action Program includes tasks and solutions to “Prioritize resource allocation to complete the University of Danang Urban Area, developing the University of Danang into a National University.”
