On the afternoon of January 14, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) chaired a meeting with Counselor for Cooperation and Culture, Director of French Institute - French Embassy in Vietnam Ms. Sophie Maysonnave and Acting Director at French Institute in Danang Mr. Samuel Delameziere.

Also attending were representatives of leaders of the Department of International Cooperation (DIC), The University of Danang - Danang International Institute of Technology (UD-DNIIT) and the Faculty of French of the University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies (UD-UFLS).

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD welcomed the visit and sincerely thanked the interest and support of the French Embassy in Vietnam, the French Institute in Vietnam for UD in the past time.

The Vice Director of UD emphasized that UD has a long tradition and always attaches special importance as well as constantly develops friendly and cooperative relationships with partners of institutes and universities of the French Republic; At the same time, he expressed his hope and belief that the visit of representatives of the French Embassy and French Institute in Vietnam in the first days of the new year 2022 will connect and bring opportunities to continue promoting and improving the effectiveness of the cooperation between UD and French partners.

Speaking to the leaders, Ms. Sophie Maysonnave - Counselor for Cooperation and Culture, Director of the French Institute – French Embassy in Vietnam recognized and highly appreciated the cooperation relationship of UD including institutes, faculties of French Language and Culture Training which contributes to the cultivation and development of education, training and cultural exchange in the Francophone community in Vietnam.

Ms. Sophie Maysonnave shared the concern of the French Embassy and the French Institute about UD in general, UD’s member universities, institutes and faculties with French training in particular to understand the demand, strengthen the connection and coordinate the cooperation in order to promote more and more effective cooperation in the coming time.

The French Embassy always cares, supports and is ready to connect businesses to support and accompany the innovative start-up activities of UD’s students and will spend more scholarships, studying abroad, internships and exchanges opportunities for staff, lecturers and students within the framework of cooperation agreements between the governments of the two countries, including postgraduate training (from master to doctorate level).

On this occasion, Ms. Sophie Maysonnave and leaders representatives of the French Institute in Vietnam would visit and work with UD’s member universities, including the Faculty of French of the University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studie to exchange and promote the development and opportunity for cooperation, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic situation would be under control.
