Leaders of the University of Danang welcomed and worked with Professor Robert Dalla Pozza, Ludwig Maximilian University, Federal Republic of Germany

 

 

In the morning of August 8th, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) had a meeting with Prof. Robert Dalla Pozza - Honorary Doctor of UD, Senior Doctor of Cardiology – Pediatrics Department, the University Hospital LMU Munich, Federal Republic of Germany.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of UD warmly welcomed again Prof. Robert Dalla Pozza to visit and work with UD after a long hiatus due to Covid-19. Vice President Le Quang Son expressed his desire that Prof. Robert Dalla Pozza would continue to support and connect UD in general and UD’s member universities with Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) to establish and develop training activities, exchanges as well as international projects such as student and staff mobility and other activitiess under framework of Erasmus + and DAAD.  of Medicine and Pharmacy (UD-SMP).

At the meeting, Prof. Robert Dalla Pozza expressed his pleasure when having a great opportunity to return and work at UD. Recently, with a role as a UD’s Honorary Doctorate, Prof. Robert Dalla Pozza had actively develop the cooperation relationship between UD and LMU through many cooperative activities as well as introduce UD to the German and European academic and scientific communities.

According to Prof. Robert Dalla Pozza, through student exchange programs between UD and LMU, many UD’s students had shown their excellence in study and research; a lot of lecturers and students of LMU wished to study and do internship at UD.

In an atmosphere of trust and sincerity, the leaders of UD and Prof. Robert Dalla Pozza agreed with the orientations and committed to continue fostering the partnership between UD and LMU in the upcoming time. Prof. Robert Dalla Pozza expressed his willingness to expand areas of cooperation and continue supporting UD to connect with a network of German and European scientists and enterprises, focusing on staff, lecturers and students exchange program and research cooperation.

UD and LMU have established a cooperation relationship in the fields of medical training and research since 2010, whereby UD's lecturers and students have had a lot of opportunities to research and study at LMU. LMU have supported professional activities, equipment for training, and foster the professional skills for lecturers of UD-SMP.

In 2013, UD awarded the Honorary Doctorate to Prof. Robert Dalla Pozza for his dedication to education and training, scientific research, and medical care in Vietnam
