On the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay Festival of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on the morning of April 10, 2024, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Quang Son - Vice President of the University of Danang (UD) led the delegation to visit and congratulate the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang city. Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang - Consul General of Laos in Da Nang chaired the meeting to welcome the delegation.

Also attending were representatives of leaders of relevant units of the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang city, representatives of leaders of relevant Departments of UD (Science and International Cooperation, Student Affairs).

At the meeting, on behalf of UD leaders, UD Vice President Le Quang Son respectfully sent best wishes to the Consul General and all leaders and staff of the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang city on the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay Festival of Laos.

Vice President of UD Le Quang Son shared the joy of the traditional close relationship between UD and the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang city as well as partners of Laos, and at the same time said that the UD’s mission of training high-quality human resources are not only for their country but also contribution to cultivating the special traditional friendship relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang - Consul General of Laos in Da Nang city sincerely thanked the leaders of UD for always paying attention and providing special support in training high-quality human resources to serve the socio-economic development of Laos.

The Consulate General of Laos always appreciates and creates the most favorable conditions to strengthen connections and support Lao international students to feel secure in studying, scientific research and living at UD’s member universities and training units.

Representatives of the two sides exchanged information on training international students, accordingly, UD would offer 20 scholarships to students from the central provinces of Laos (09 master's scholarships and 11 university's scholarships) including full/partial scholarships and Vietnamese language preparatory course (1 year), free dormitory accommodation.

In an intimate and sincere atmosphere, the leaders of both sides expressed their satisfaction and affirmed that they would continue to strengthen coordination to contribute to ensuring and improving the quality of training for Laotian students at UD, providing high-quality human resources for localities and businesses; constantly cultivating the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos that is a long lasting cooperation relationship.
