On 15th April, 2024, Journal of Science and Technology (JST) – the University of Danang (UD) was approved for membership by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ – http://www.doaj.org/)

DOAJ is an international online database providing open access to academic journals. DOAJ has up to 20,438 open journals from 134 countries in the fields of science and technology, natural sciences, medicine, social sciences and humanities. The number of articles at present has reached over 10 million copies in 80 languages (full text available).

There are currently 18 Vietnamese journals accepted into the DOAJ database. JST-UD submitted its membership application in January 2024, and after many rounds of review, it was officially accepted by DOAJ to join this database.

Joining the DOAJ database helps JST-UD increase its visibility and outreach to the scientific community worldwide thanks to its global open access. This will expand the capacity and scope of academic exchange, contribute to enhancing the international reputation of the UD.

With this new landmark, JST-UD aims to become an international journal that meets the standards of the world’s leading prestigious scientific databases. JST-UD has a professional publishing process: all English articles are assigned an identification number, plagiarism check by Turnitin, anonymous review by 2 reviewers, English content check by experts in the fields.

JST-UD is currently included in other prestigious international databases such as: Google scholar, WorldCat, BASE.
