Expanding international exchange and transfer opportunities for students' future success
22/08/2026
In recent times, driven by the policy to strongly promote two-way faculty and student exchanges (both inbound and outbound), The University of Danang (UD) alongside its member universities and affiliated training units has proactively connected and expanded international cooperation. These efforts have opened up extensive opportunities for students to participate in academic exchanges and international transfer programs, helping them elevate their academic competencies and build a solid foundation for their future development.

For instance, building on the success of the multi-year Smart Campus competition organized by Danang International Institute of Technology (DNIIT) - UD alongside partners from the French Republic, 05 UD's students: Huỳnh Bảo Quyên, Vũ Hoàng Quân, Lê Văn Hiếu, Lê Thành Duy, Nguyễn Thanh Hà had the opportunity to participate in an academic exchange through the Summer School program at Université Côte d'Azur.

According to Bao Quyen, she had the opportunity to participate in the Glocal Leadership Summer School 2026 (July 6 – July 24, 2026), alongside various practical activities, international academic and cultural experiences.
Through this journey, she gained valuable insights, broadened her horizons, and developed leadership skills, teamwork capabilities, and international cultural integration, with a strong focus on proactive adaptation, climate change mitigation, and green transition.

Another prominent example involves students from University of Economics (DUE) - UD who successfully transitioned to international undergraduate programs at prestigious UK universities: Duong Van Hoang Vu (Class 48K16, Faculty of Finance) and Nguyen Ta Vinh Khang (Class 48K25.1, Faculty of Business Administration).
According to the students, right from the beginning of their enrollment, with guidance and encouragement from the university and their lecturers, they chose the 3+1 international transition program under the cooperation framework between UD - DUE and the University of Hull (United Kingdom). Thanks to proactively building a solid foundation of professional knowledge, skills, and foreign language proficiency, Hoang Vu and Vinh Khang stood out with exceptional results that met the rigorous academic and transition requirements of the University of Hull.

Hoang Vu shared that during his studies at the partner institution, he was deeply impressed by how lectures were closely tied to real-world business cases, an approach that lecturers at the University of Economics – UD consistently use to inspire their students.
These initial achievements are a well-deserved recognition of their persistent efforts. Having successfully transitioned to the international program, Hoang Vu was awarded the "Business Management Subject" Prize by the University of Hull for his outstanding academic performance, while Vinh Khang and his team won First Prize in the Employer Challenge competition organized by the University of Hull in collaboration with Tigers Trust.

Reflecting on his experience, Hoang Vu noted that teamwork and foreign language proficiency are crucial in an international academic environment. Therefore, students need to practice active listening, make reasonable task allocations, and respect cultural differences in order to collaborate effectively globally and apply acquired knowledge into practice.
It is hoped that with the strong focus on international cooperation across institutions within the University of Danang, an increasing number of students will have the opportunity to participate in international exchanges in the near future, enhancing their qualifications, broadening their perspectives, and developing into global citizens.
