Enhancing language and cultural exchange with Korean universities

From December 15, 2025 to January 9, 2026, a delegation of 06 professors and 42 students from Sahmyook University led by Professor Lee Byonghee, visited and co-organized an academic and cultural exchange program at University of Foreign Language Studies (UFLS) - the University of Danang (UD). 

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Long - Rector of UFLS-UD, the university is training Korean language students not only to meet the human resource needs of businesses in both countries but also to contribute to bridging cultural gaps and promoting the strategic partnership between Vietnam and South Korea. This is an opportunity for faculty and students of both universities to foster a spirit of integration and academic cooperation, looking towards the future.

Students from both universities participated in enriching activities such as: IT Korean language classes; exploring language and culture; and experiencing music and K-food. Highlights included career counseling and guidance programs such as "My Future & Career Exploration" and "Creative Learning in Nature - Nature & Arts Activities".

Parallel to these academic activities, from January 5th to 8th, 2026, UD-UFLS , in collaboration with Kyung-in Women's University organized the "Vietnam - Korea Cultural, Language, and Innovation Exchange Program".

On January 8th, University of Science and Education (UED) - UD hosted a meeting with a delegation of lecturers from the College of Engineering at Chungnam National University. The delegation was led by Professor Younga Son - Dean and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Organic Materials Engineering, accompanied by faculty leaders and professors specializing in various fields, including materials science, electronics, information technology, artificial intelligence, environmental engineering, chemistry, and architecture. 

On behalf of the University's leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Chungnam National University. He emphasized the vital role of international cooperation in the context of the globalization of higher education.

The Vice Rector affirmed that this visit marks a significant opportunity for both sides to strengthen connections, share academic knowledge, and expand substantive cooperation in Science, Engineering, Technology, and the training of high-quality human resources.
