On November 24, 2025, a delegation of Swiss experts and investors - including Dr. Urs Lustenberger, Chairman of SwissCham Asia and Founder of Lustenberger Law Firm; Prof. Dr. Zhang Ying, Chairman of Singularity Academy; and Ms. Tran Ha My, Chairwoman of the Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs Association in Europe - visited the University of Danang – University of Economics (UD-DUE) to discuss opportunities for collaboration.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of UD-DUE, highlighted the university’s ongoing efforts to support Da Nang’s initiative to establish an International Financial Center (IFC). He emphasized the importance of international expertise in developing high-quality human resources and specialized training programs for personnel involved in the IFC.

During the meeting, Dr. Urs Lustenberger underscored both the opportunities and challenges associated with building the IFC, particularly the need to strengthen legal capacities to address potential disputes in international arbitration. The Swiss delegation expressed their readiness to cooperate in developing practical training programs that meet global standards for financial market integration.

Prof. Dr. Zhang Ying noted that collaboration between UD-DUE and Singularity Academy could help address the growing demand for professionals with expertise in international finance and law. She emphasized the need for specialized training in international commercial arbitration as part of the IFC’s development.

UD-DUE representatives also shared that the university is currently advising Da Nang on modern financial sectors, including green finance and cryptocurrency supervision. The university offers a fully English-taught program in International Commercial Law and aims to further enhance its curriculum by leveraging the experience of international experts.

This visit marks a significant step toward strengthening international partnerships and advancing Da Nang’s vision of becoming a regional financial hub.
