Developing IoT applications and the Free-LoRa platform to build a smart city in Da Nang

On May 7, 2022, The University of Danang - Danang International Institute of Technology – UD-DNIIT) cooperated with Da Nang Union of Science and Technology Associations to organize a conference on "Developing IoT applications - exploiting the Free-LoRa platform to build a smart city in Da Nang".

who were interested in IoT applications
Attending the conference were Prof. Fabien Ferrero- Director of Center for Electronics and Telecommunications of Université Côte d'Azur, France (UCA); Prof. Dr.Sc. Le Thanh Nhan-Rector of UD-DNIIT, experts and lecturers of UD-University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) in the fields of Industry 4.0 and officials of relevant departments, businesses, and students from high schools and universities in Da Nang.

At the conference, delegates and students shared and discussed new knowledge and technologies relating to IoT for the development of smart city through specialized research reports.

In particular, with the long-lasting cooperation relationship, DNIIT and Danang Department of Information and Communications would improve to develop, apply and transfer the Free-LoRa Network to serve for the establishment of smart city in Da Nang.

Inspired passion for technology
From 2021 up to now, DNIIT had connected and coordinated with UCA to organize training courses, fostering and disseminating information on LoRa technology; deploying and piloting the installation of a wireless communication network serving for the Free-LoRa community in Da Nang- a low-power wide area network, serving communication and connecting IoT devices and applications, affirming its pioneering role and catching up with the trend of Revolution 4.0.
