Faculty of Mathematics, the University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) had just welcomed and worked with Prof. Jein-Shan Chen, Faculty of Mathematics, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU-China). Prof. Jein-Shan Chen is the author of 140 articles published in prestigious international journals and has been honored with many awards in Mathematics research.

The highlight of the lecturer exchange activities between the two Mathematics Faculties of the two Universities was the opportunity for UD-UED’s students to join in the lecture "Smoothing strategies in optimization and data science" of Prof. Jin-Shan Chen.

The story shared by a group of 4 Japanese students (Ayato, Taiki, Shunsuke and Ryohei) who came to do internship at UD- Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (UD-VNUK) spread a cozy feeling about the students exchange program between UD and Kansai University.

Living away from home for the first time, surprised in a new journey, but the hospitality, friendliness and beauty of the dynamic and peaceful Da Nang city helped them to overcome the "challenges" of language and culture.

“The companionship of UD-VNUK lecturers and students, as well as our families support us to integrate early, take advantage of every useful moment to learn and explore professional knowledge and cultural exchange at UD-VNUK” shared one of Japanese students.

Although the time for international student exchange was limited (only about 3 months), the unforgettable impressions, knowledge and practical experience for each international student were precious things. It also helped to connect schools and institutes to become long-lasting partners in the general integration trend.

Promoting the internationalization of higher education is one of the key strategies of UD to enhance the exchange of lecturers and students, especially prestigious experts in the suitable fields with training programs of UD’s member universities and affiliated units.
