Coming to the University of Danang to experience academic and cultural exchanges

The context of integration, globalization and the trend of internationalization of higher education have created many opportunities for lecturers and students to have exchange activities. Through cooperation agreements, not only staff, lecturers and students of the University of Danang (UD) go abroad to study, research and improve their knowledge, but also more lecturers and students from partner universities also come to the UD to experience academic and cultural exchanges.

In mid-March of 2024, Shokei Gakuin University (Japan) sent a delegation of 3 lecturers and 9 students to visit and exchange expertise and culture with University of Science and Education – UD.

This is an exchange and experience program that took place for about 1 week within the framework of cooperation between the two universities, with diverse and useful activities such as: Vietnamese language learning, Doasaho method practice, academic exchange with lecturers and students of the Faculty of Psychology and Education, cultural exploration activities, field trips to educational institutions in Da Nang.

University of Foreign Language Studies (UFLS) – UD also welcomed and organized an academic exchange with the delegation of students from Kushiro National College of Technology (Japan). Assoc. Prof. Yoko Nakajima, head of the delegation, said that he was very impressed with UFLS-UD’s warm and respectful welcome and organization of cultural activities.

Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha – Vice Rector of UFLS-UD, shared that this is a valuable opportunity for both sides to enhance exchanges and cooperation, especially for students to have the opportunity to improve their understanding of language and culture. She hoped that there would be more useful cooperation and exchange programs to contribute to promoting integration and development in a multicultural academic environment.

Recently, the “Learning Express” (LeX) program was held between University of Science and Technology (DUT) – UD and Singapore Polytechnic, attracting 3 lecturers and 29 students from the Singapore partner as well as 30 students from DUT-UD.

With the message “Treat others the way you want to be treated”, LeX 2024 was carefully prepared by DUT-UD to provide best conditions for lecturers and students to truly immerse in modern educational model, thereby contributing knowledge, capacity and design thinking for the benefit of the community.
