On the morning of May 28, 2020, University of Science and Technology-The University of Danang (DUT-UD) had a meeting with Hitachi Systems Vietnam Co., Ltd. on building a smart laboratory - "Smart lab 4.0". Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Quang Vinh - Rector of DUT-UD presided over the meeting and worked with the delegation.

On May 26, among nearly 2,000 initiatives and projects from 79 countries, the quarantine areas-serving robot of the University of Danang’s University of Science and Technology was selected to receive sponsorship from the Francophie University Association (FUA).

Among approximately 2,000 projects from 79 countries, 4 initiatives by Vietnam National University - HCMC, the University of Danang, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture have been qualified for funding from the Francophonie University Association (FUA) in the attempt to cope with Covid-19 pandemic.
