14/05/2026

On the morning of May 13, 2026, the University of Danang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT) hosted the opening ceremony of the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Energy and Infrastructure (AIEI‑2026).

The conference is jointly organized by UD-DUT in collaboration with the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (COSARI) and Van Lang University, and is held in a hybrid format combining both in‑person and online participation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Tien Dung, Vice Rector of UD-DUT, emphasized that artificial intelligence is increasingly playing a critical role in engineering and technology fields, particularly in energy and infrastructure systems that support sustainable development.

Representatives of UD-DUT noted that the growing application of AI has become an effective tool for addressing challenges in smart energy systems and intelligent infrastructure, keeping pace with the development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).

According to the Organizing Committee, AIEI‑2026 has attracted the participation of scientists, experts, lecturers, and industry representatives from many countries and territories, including France, China, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Taiwan (China), Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Within the conference program, participants attended and discussed in‑depth scientific presentations delivered by keynote speakers such as Prof. David Bassir, Prof. Jaafar Gaber, Prof. Yiliu Liu, and Assoc. Prof. Abel Cherouat, along with Vietnamese researchers with strong academic backgrounds and practical experience in applying AI to renewable energy systems, power system optimization, infrastructure maintenance, and smart infrastructure development.

Scientific papers accepted by the conference will be selected for publication by EDP Sciences, indexed in Scopus, and may also be considered for inclusion in other international databases according to each indexing system’s regulations, the Organizing Committee noted.

The conference sessions, thematic workshops, and academic networking activities will take place from May 13 to May 15, 2026. The event serves not only as a platform for sharing the latest research findings but also as an opportunity to promote the application of AI in clean energy and sustainable infrastructure, while strengthening collaboration among domestic and international research communities.
