At the recent postgraduate graduation ceremony of the University of Danang - University of Economics (UD-DUE), 18 students from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) officially completed their master’s programs.

Sharing his experience, Mr. Sivalath Keomanivanh, a newly graduated master’s student majoring in Economic Management, said that the program was systematically designed with a strong emphasis on practical application. It enabled students to access in-depth knowledge aligned with socio-economic development requirements in the context of integration. The flexible teaching approach, which closely links theory with real-world management practice, has also helped learners become ready to apply what they gained after graduation.

Meanwhile, Mr. Xaythanasy Inthavong, a newly graduated master’s student majoring in Business Administration and currently working at the Propaganda and Training Division of Salavan Province (Lao PDR), noted that the learning environment at DUE brought him value beyond expectations. The faculty members are highly qualified, approachable, and responsible, and they consistently supported international students throughout the study journey. Academic discussions, patient instruction, and dedicated guidance helped Lao students quickly adapt and become more confident in approaching new knowledge.

Beyond academics, the multicultural learning environment at DUE was also described by the Lao graduates as a memorable experience. Through studying and engaging with Vietnamese peers, Lao students had opportunities to better understand Vietnamese culture, working styles, responsibility, and professionalism in learning and research. “These experiences have contributed to strengthening our communication, collaboration, and adaptability in a friendly international environment, built on the foundation of the special traditional friendship between Vietnam and Laos,” Mr. Xaythanasy Inthavong added.

Comprehensive support from the University was another common highlight shared by the Lao students. From training organization, research supervision, and administrative assistance to cultural exchange and networking activities, UD-DUE has created favorable conditions for international students to study with peace of mind and to regard Vietnam as their second home throughout their time of study. Mr. Sivalath Keomanivanh shared: “What impressed me most was the lecturers’ commitment to knowledge transfer and their sharing of practical experience, together with opportunities for internships and research at enterprises.”

After graduation, the Lao graduates expressed their desire to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired to their professional practice, contributing to enhanced management effectiveness and socio-economic development in their localities and in Laos. Many also shared that they would be willing to continue choosing UD-DUE for higher levels of study when possible, thereby further nurturing sustainable education cooperation between the two countries.
