Building partnership with Indiana University of Pennsylvania (the United States)

 

In the morning of July 06th, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Thuy Anh - Vice Rector of University of Economics - the University of Danang (UE-UD) had a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Henry Webb - Program Coordinator for University Cooperation in Vietnam - Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof. Henry Webb introduced the history of IUP’s establishment and training scale. Accordingly, the Indiana University of Pennsylvania established in 1875 with a current enrollment of more than 12,000 students. IUP is currently training 132 bachelor programs, 52 master's programs and 12 doctoral programs. The IUP’s representative hoped to build a long-term partnership with DUE, starting with a transfer and exchange program. According to Assoc.Prof. Henry Webb, the 2 + 2 or 3 + 1 training programs are compatible for both universities, or that UE-UD students can take summer and winter exchange courses to enhance knowledge and experience learning environment at IUP.

Referring to the student exchange program, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Thuy Anh said that these programs were suitable for UE-UD students. Besides, IUP’s students could also take short-term courses of 1-2 week and internship of 01-03 month at UE-UD. The two sides also talked about collaborative research programs in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Law, International Business and Business Administration. The two universities will come to MOU signing as soon as possible. This will be the basis for the future cooperation between UE-UD and IUP.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thi Thuy Anh has also sent an invitation to representative of IUP to attend the 2nd International Educational Fair, ICYREB 2017 and Digital Marketing Workshop hosted by the UE-UD.
